Within the framework of the 5th Extraordinary Summit of the Board of Directors of the American Police Community (AMERIPOL), the representation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the organization with observer status has been secured.
This was reported to elchi by the Press Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The relevant status is of great importance in terms of expanding the Ministry’s cooperation with the relevant law enforcement agencies of AMERIPOL member states, conducting mutual exchange of information and best practices within the framework of international police cooperation, as well as increasing opportunities for participation in the organization’s relevant events.
Observer status also serves to further develop international cooperation in the fight against transnational organized crime, illicit drug trafficking, cybercrime, extremism, human trafficking, and other modern threats.
