On September 8, Prime Minister Ali Asadov met with Liu Haixing, a member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and head of the International Department.

During the meeting, satisfaction was expressed with the development of comprehensive strategic partnership relations between Azerbaijan and China, and the decisive role of the joint efforts of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and the President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping in reaching the current high level of bilateral relations was emphasized.
The positive dynamics of trade, economic, and investment relations between the two countries were highlighted. It was noted that joint projects in the field of green energy are being successfully implemented and that there is great potential for deepening cooperation in this direction.
Stating that cooperation in the transport and transit sector is developing consistently, it was emphasized that there are good opportunities for further expanding mutual activities within the framework of the “Belt and Road” initiative and the Middle Corridor. The importance of opening the Zangezur corridor in terms of further strengthening regional transport links and increasing transit potential was brought to attention.
The development of relations between the New Azerbaijan Party and the Communist Party of China was highly appreciated, and the importance of further expanding inter-party cooperation and mutual contacts was noted.
At the meeting, prospects for further developing mutually beneficial cooperation between Azerbaijan and China in various fields were discussed.
