The first day of the Fourth Climate Week in Baku has concluded – PHOTO

Today, the first day of the Fourth Climate Week of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) has concluded in Baku.

“Elchi” reports that the first day of the event, which will continue until September 11, is dedicated to the theme “Energy transition, climate finance, and industrial decarbonization.”

Throughout the day, sessions were held under this theme, including “From Baku to COP31: Maintaining momentum in a fragmented world,” “Advancing the green energy industry through innovation, digital technologies, and regional cooperation,” “Accelerating methane reduction: from detection to action,” and “Carbon market discussion: unlocking climate finance through carbon markets.”

It should be noted that the event is organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan.

Today, the Fourth Climate Week (CW4) of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change has begun in Baku, organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan.

The event will continue until September 11.

It should be noted that the events taking place during these days as part of the Baku Climate Action Week 2026 (BCAW 2026) will be dedicated to the practical implementation of climate decisions, international cooperation, and strengthening climate action ahead of COP31.
