Armenian Security Council Secretary Alen Simonyan stated that the deepening of the peace process was discussed during a meeting with Hikmat Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan.
“Elchi” reports that in his statement to journalists, Simonyan noted with satisfaction that the Azerbaijani side has taken and will continue to take all steps related to peace.
“We agreed to implement new mechanisms to regulate issues that have not yet been resolved,” Simonyan said.
The Armenian official also announced that he plans to visit Azerbaijan. Such a meeting had previously been planned during the time when Armen Grigoryan held the position of Secretary of the Security Council.
“I do not rule out that I will make such a visit, but I cannot give any date for it,” Alen Simonyan noted.
