“Elchi” reports that this is stated in the appeal of the Main State Traffic Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The Traffic Police recommended that drivers reduce their speed to a safe limit allowed by the road and weather conditions in rainy weather, increase the following distance from the vehicle in front, and avoid sharp maneuvers and sudden braking.
“It should not be forgotten that the maximum speed limit indicated on the road sign does not mean that it is safe to drive at that speed in all weather conditions. The driver must correctly assess the existing conditions and choose a speed that ensures safe driving.
Reducing speed in rainy weather is not just a precautionary measure, but one of the main conditions for safety,” the appeal says.
