The Pentagon has signed contracts to increase missile production

The Pentagon has signed seven-year agreements with “General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems” (GD-OTS) and “Lockheed Martin” to increase missile production.

“Elchi” reports, citing “Sky News”, that the agreements provide for increasing the production volume and accelerating the supply of key components for THAAD and “Patriot PAC-3 MSE” missile defense systems.

“General Dynamics” intends to triple its production capacity for PAC-3 MSE interceptors and quadruple its capacity for THAAD production. It is also planned to increase the output of motor bodies, high-sensitivity warheads, and other components.

US Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment Michael Duffy stated that the agreements will allow for shortening production lead times and accelerating the expansion of US domestic production capabilities.
