The European Junior Judo Championship will be held in Podgorica, the capital of Montenegro, from September 3 to 6.
“Elchi” reports that Azerbaijan will be represented by 14 athletes (9 boys, 5 girls) in 10 weight categories at the continental competition.
The team will be led by Rustam Alimli, head coach of the junior men’s team, coaches Elkhan Rajabli and Abdulhaqq Rasullu, as well as Amina Abdellatif, head coach of the women’s team, and senior coach Sascha Herkenrath-Wimar.
410 judokas (226 boys, 184 girls) from 44 countries will compete in the European Junior Championship.
