The actual weather as of 9:00 AM on August 28 has been announced.
According to the information provided to “Elchi” by the National Hydrometeorological Service, the weather was mostly rainless in most regions, but intermittent rain and lightning occurred in some mountainous and foothill areas during the evening and night.
In some places, there were short-term, intense downpours.
The amount of precipitation recorded was 20 mm in Gadabay (37% of the monthly norm), 5 mm in Gusar, and up to 1 mm in Kalbajar, Lachin, Gubadli, Shusha, Goygol, Gryz, Ganja, Naftalan, Shamkir, Saribash (Gakh), as well as in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula.
North-westerly winds are blowing in some places. The maximum wind speed reached 23 m/s in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, and up to 18 m/s in Neftchala and Julfa.
Fog is observed in Gryz and Shahdag.
The maximum air temperature was 31 degrees in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, 38 in the Nakhchivan AR, 37 in the Aran regions, and up to 26 degrees in the mountainous regions.
