The Main State Traffic Police Department has issued a warning to road users regarding windy weather.

It was stated that a yellow and orange warning has been issued due to the windy weather conditions currently observed in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, as well as in a number of regions.
The Main State Traffic Police Department requests road users to be cautious and strictly observe traffic rules in order to prevent dangers that adverse weather conditions may cause on the roads.
Owners and drivers of trailers, tented, and long-sized trucks should be more responsible, remember that driving in windy weather is difficult and dangerous, and pay special attention to the packaging of the cargo they carry.
Drivers are advised to keep their vehicles away from objects that may pose a risk of sliding, overturning, or other similar dangers, and to prefer indoor spaces when parking.
Especially since visibility is limited due to dust storms caused by the wind in open areas, drivers should control their speed and following distance, and be cautious when overtaking or maneuvering.
Pedestrians should also correctly assess the current weather conditions and avoid behaviors on the roads that pose a threat to their own lives and health, as well as those of other road users.
