The US Department of Defense has signed framework agreements with “L3Harris” and “Lockheed Martin” to increase the production volume of components for “THAAD” and “Patriot PAC-3 MSE” systems.

As specified in the report, an agreement was reached with “L3Harris” aimed at accelerating the production of engines and warheads for the “Patriot PAC-3 MSE” anti-aircraft missile system interceptors. In addition, agreements were signed with “L3Harris” and “Lockheed Martin” to expand the production scale of engines and one of the control systems for the “THAAD” complex. The “THAAD” air defense system is designed to intercept ballistic missile warheads in the final stage of the middle part of the flight trajectory and as they approach the target. It is used to provide defense for US troops, their allies, as well as cities and critical facilities against both short-range and strategic ballistic missiles.
