The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan continues its activities in the direction of fulfilling its duties, including the protection of the population and territories from natural and man-made emergencies.
According to the information provided to elchi by the MES, based on calls received by the “112” hotline of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the relevant agencies of the Ministry carried out emergency rescue operations last week in response to 881 fire calls, 36 cases of people remaining in helpless situations, and 2 road traffic accidents. As a result of the urgent and immediate measures taken, the operational extinguishing of fires and the saving of human lives were ensured.
In total, during the past week, the forces of the Ministry of Emergency Situations rescued 38 people, including 9 minors, 2 people were injured, and the bodies of 7 people were recovered.
