According to the data obtained from automatic stations, dusty weather conditions are being observed in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula.
“Elchi” reports that this was stated by Gulnara Abbasova, an official of the National Hydrometeorological Service.
According to her, the amount of dust in the air is currently 1.4-1.7 times higher than the norm:
“The dust observed in the air is local in nature due to meteorological conditions. This weather condition is caused by the strong north-west wind that started this morning, spreading dust masses formed on the dry surface of the ground to the surrounding areas. It is expected that the dusty weather conditions will continue until tomorrow afternoon due to synoptic conditions,” the statement noted.
