A meeting was held between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
elchi reports that the leaders met in Omsk on July 25 before participating in the XXII Interregional Cooperation Forum of Russia and Kazakhstan.
Putin stated that relations between Russia and Kazakhstan are developing successfully and are strategic in practice.
“Our relations are developing. They are developing successfully. These relations are strategic in nature, not only in words but also in deeds,” Putin said.
It is expected that issues of economic, trade, and interregional cooperation between the two countries will be discussed at the XXII Interregional Cooperation Forum held in Omsk.
