India’s Education Minister resigns amid student protests

India’s Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has resigned amid student protests over the leakage of examination materials.

In recent days, a wave of protests has erupted in India due to the leakage of test questions, which led to the postponement of medical entrance exams from May to June.

More than 2.2 million young people participated in the exam across more than 550 cities in the country.

Protesters are holding the Education Minister responsible for what happened and are demanding his resignation.
