MES held an event for people with disabilities and their caregivers

In accordance with the Joint Action Plan signed between the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population on ensuring the rights of people with disabilities and their caregivers in the field of prevention, preparedness, and response to emergency situations, the North-West Regional Center of the MES held an awareness-raising event on the topic of “Behavioral rules in case of emergency situations” at the Sheki Rehabilitation Center.

According to the information provided by the MES to “Elchi”, the main purpose of the event was to form proper behavioral habits regarding natural and man-made emergency situations among people with disabilities and their caregivers, and to increase their level of preparedness.

During the event, detailed information was provided on the classification of emergency situations, emergency situations characteristic of our country, including appropriate behavioral rules related to fires and earthquakes, and the purpose of the MES “112” hotline was explained.

Extensive discussions were held around the topics, and questions of interest to the participants were answered.
