Deputy Minister of Science and Education Firudin Gurbanov held a series of meetings in Uzbekistan within the framework of the 15th meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Cooperation between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan.

Firudin Gurbanov met with Farxod Bokiyev, Deputy Minister of Preschool and School Education of Uzbekistan. The meeting focused on the development of cooperation in the field of preschool and school education, the promotion of STEAM-based education, the mutual teaching of Azerbaijani and Uzbek languages, as well as future joint initiatives.
Within the framework of the visit, the Deputy Minister visited the National Institute of Pedagogical Excellence named after Abdulla Avloni. He became acquainted with the conditions and infrastructure created at the STEAM center operating under the institute.
Deputy Minister Firudin Gurbanov also met with Sardor Radjabov, First Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovations of Uzbekistan. During the meeting, an exchange of views took place regarding the expansion of inter-university cooperation, the mutual increase in the number of students studying in both countries, the establishment of an Azerbaijan–Uzbekistan joint scientific research fund, and the organization of joint events in the field of higher education.
