We have expressed our deep concern regarding the ongoing armed conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
elchi reports that Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov stated this during a joint press conference with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in Moscow.
The Minister noted that this conflict continues to have a serious negative impact on stability in the wider region: “Azerbaijan consistently reaffirms its commitment to the norms and principles of international law and calls for the de-escalation of tensions and a peaceful resolution of the conflict.”
Jeyhun Bayramov noted that they also discussed the situation in the Middle East in the context of regional and international issues: “In the current conditions of instability, diplomatic cooperation, dialogue, and strict adherence to the norms and principles of international law are on the agenda as key tools that can prevent further escalation of tensions, avert the deterioration of the humanitarian situation, and create minimal conditions for regional and even wider cooperation.”
