Provided that at least 50 (fifty) percent of the volume of goods of the Republic of Azerbaijan origin, which are fully produced by a Free Zone legal entity in the Alat Free Economic Zone or have undergone sufficient processing in accordance with the criteria for processing, as approved by the body (institution) determined by the relevant executive authority according to the commodity nomenclature of foreign economic activity, are exported outside the country, the import of such goods from the Alat Free Economic Zone into the main economy, in the manner determined by the body (institution) determined by the relevant executive authority, shall be exempt from customs duties for a period of 15 years from the date of establishment of the Free Zone legal entity that produces or processes the goods.
According to the news from elchi, this is reflected in the amendment to the Law “On Customs Tariff” approved by President Ilham Aliyev.
The law will enter into force on January 1, 2027.
