Azerbaijan and Pakistan have significant potential for further strengthening trade and economic relations.
“Elchi” reports that this was stated by Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration, in an interview with “Pakistan TV”.
He noted that to realize this potential, it is necessary to intensify contacts between business circles, increase awareness of investment opportunities, and expand cooperation between the private sectors of the two countries.
Hajiyev characterized the relations between Azerbaijan and Pakistan as a strategic partnership based on mutual trust and unwavering support.
He also highly appreciated the mutual understanding between the leadership of the two countries, noting that bilateral cooperation continues to expand in various fields.
“At the political and geostrategic levels, relations between Pakistan and Azerbaijan are excellent,” the Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan emphasized.
Hajiyev stressed that the increase in tourist visits between the citizens of the two countries was made possible thanks to the expansion of direct air links. He also noted the importance of further developing cultural ties and contacts between the peoples.
Regarding cooperation in the media sector, Hajiyev highlighted the active participation of Pakistani journalists in the Shusha Global Media Forum since its inception.
In addition, the Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan highly appreciated Pakistan’s mediation role during the recent period of tension in the Middle East: “The Pakistani leadership is dedicating its valuable time and efforts to the cause of peace.”
According to him, Pakistan’s constructive role indicates Islamabad’s growing geostrategic importance in global processes.
