Despite repeated warnings, the involvement of Azerbaijani citizens in various armed conflict zones and high-risk areas, as well as instances of them being killed or sustaining bodily injuries of varying degrees, continue to be recorded with regret.
“Elchi” reports that this is stated in a declaration issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan.
The statement noted that, in particular, the security situation in the region remains extremely sensitive due to ongoing military operations in the Black Sea basin, existing threats to civilian shipping, and the use of unmanned aerial vehicles, missiles, and other weapons. Given the geography and intensity of the military operations, the risks to civilian vessels and their crew members have increased significantly.
“In this context, we once again call on Azerbaijani citizens to refrain from traveling to regions where military operations are ongoing or the security situation is unstable, from engaging in labor activities in those areas, or from working on transport vehicles, including sea vessels, operating along these routes.
Furthermore, we recommend strictly adhering to official warnings and, if necessary, contacting the diplomatic missions and consulates of the Republic of Azerbaijan,” the statement noted.
