Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov, has met with a delegation led by Mr. Selcuk Bayraktar, Chairman of the Board of the Turkish company “Baykar”, who is on a visit to our country.
According to the information provided to elchi by the Ministry of Defense, during the meeting, Colonel-General Z. Hasanov stated that relations between the two brotherly countries are successfully developing in the military sphere, just as in all other areas.
Pointing out the significant role of the “Baykar” company in Turkey’s defense industry, the Minister emphasized the importance of further increasing joint production potential through the application of advanced technological innovations.
Expressing his gratitude for the hospitality shown, Mr. S. Bayraktar specifically noted that mutual visits have a positive impact on strengthening Azerbaijan-Turkey-Azerbaijan military and military-technical cooperation.
At the meeting, which was also attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to our country, Birol Akgün, the parties exchanged detailed views on unmanned aerial vehicles, electronic warfare, unmanned systems, and other areas.
