Today, a meeting of the Economic Council was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Ali Asadov.
This was reported to elchi by the Cabinet of Ministers.
The first item on the meeting’s agenda was the draft of the “State Program for the Development of Tourism in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2026-2030,” including the prospects for tourism development and key priority measures. The second item discussed was the draft program on the “Development of the mining and metallurgical industry: current situation and prospects until 2030,” as well as other current economic issues.
Extensive presentations were heard from the Chairman of the State Tourism Agency, Fuad Naghiyev, on the first agenda item, and from the Minister of Economy, Mikayil Jabbarov, on the second. Members of the Economic Council and invited guests spoke on the presented issues.
At the conclusion of the meeting, decisions were made to submit the drafts of both state programs discussed on the agenda to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and relevant instructions were given to the appropriate authorities.
