It is suspected that a 43-year-old resident of Balakan was swept away by a flood.
According to elchi, the incident was recorded in the Katex river, in the district’s Katex village.
Specifically, Aslan Ramazan oglu Rzayev, born in 1983 and a resident of Katex village in the Balakan district, fell into the Katex river by accident while attempting to collect pieces of wood brought by floodwaters while intoxicated. At that moment, he was swept away by the flood.
Currently, search and rescue operations are ongoing, and employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) have been deployed to the area.
