Clarification has been provided regarding allegations circulating on several social media platforms about the illegal demolition of a citizen’s house located at 78 B. Safaroglu Street, Yasamal district.
This information was provided to “Elchi” by the Yasamal District Executive Authority.
“We inform you that the operational life of the house where resident Tatyana Agafonova lives, located at 78 B. Safaroglu Street, Yasamal district, has expired,” the statement said, adding that within the framework of the assessment and relocation process carried out by the relevant commission, the resident demanded an amount many times higher than the market value of the property.
At the same time, in addition to the area formalized with an extract, there is an illegally constructed extension in the resident’s actual use, which negatively affects the structural stability of the building and further aggravates the condition of the dilapidated building; currently, it is not the house itself, but the aforementioned illegally constructed extension that is being demolished.
It should be noted that demolition work is being carried out on buildings with expired operational life in the area known as the former “Sovetski”. The relocation process is being carried out by paying compensation to residents in accordance with market prices.
After the process is fully completed, it is planned to implement appropriate measures for the improvement of the area and the repair and restoration of existing historical buildings.
