Azerbaijan has a significant voice in the Turkic world.
“Elchi” reports that this was stated by the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, in his address to the participants of the “Turkic World Week” dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the First Turkological Congress held in Baku.
Tokayev noted that Azerbaijan makes a significant contribution to the development of relations between brotherly peoples. “For this, I express my gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev and the people of Azerbaijan.”
The Kazakh leader noted that a Turkic Civilization Center will be built in the city of Turkistan in the coming years: “In recent days, together with the leaders of brotherly states, we participated in the groundbreaking ceremony of that unique center. I believe that this initiative will give a new impetus to the preservation and strengthening of the historical and cultural heritage of the brotherly peoples,” Tokayev emphasized.
