This meeting marks the beginning of a new stage in the history of the Turkic world.
elchi reports that the Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States, Kubanychbek Omuraliev, stated this during his speech at the “Turkic World Week” dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the First Turkological Congress.
“Today, important steps are being taken to strengthen ties between Turkic states and peoples, develop mutual cooperation, and protect common values. The foundation of this unity is primarily formed by the political will of the Turkic states, the mutual respect of our peoples, and our common cultural heritage. The ideas voiced at the Turkological Congress a hundred years ago still maintain their relevance today. Inspired by those ideas, we must further develop the scientific, cultural, and humanitarian relations of the Turkic world. I am confident that these meetings will serve to further strengthen friendship, cooperation, and unity among Turkic states and peoples,” he said.
