Awareness-raising event on forest fires held in Gakh

An awareness-raising event on the topic “Measures to be taken for the prevention of forest fires” was held by the North-West Regional Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in Aghchay village of Gakh district.

This was reported to “Elchi” by the Press Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

The event was attended by responsible employees of the relevant local structures of the Ministries of Emergency Situations and Ecology and Natural Resources, representatives of local executive and self-governing bodies, and village residents.

Speakers at the event noted the urgency of the topic and emphasized the importance of taking preventive measures to avoid forest fires and expanding awareness-raising work in the fight against such emergencies. Furthermore, the necessity for citizens engaged in agriculture in forests and green areas, including entrepreneurs and nearby village residents, to be careful with fire and strictly adhere to fire safety rules was highlighted.

Following the sessions, a practical demonstration of extinguishing a simulated forest fire was conducted, involving the forces and equipment of the local units of the Ministries of Emergency Situations and Ecology and Natural Resources.
