The scope of goods exempted from customs duties is expanding.
According to elchi‘s report, this is reflected in the proposed amendment to the Law “On Customs Tariff” discussed at today’s meeting of the Milli Majlis Committee on Economic Policy, Industry and Entrepreneurship.
According to the draft, the import of machinery, technological equipment and devices, as well as components, materials and raw materials, the list of which is approved by the body (institution) determined by the relevant executive authority based on a supporting document issued by the body (institution) determined by the relevant executive authority, taking into account the opinion of the relevant state bodies (institutions), by legal entities and individual entrepreneurs (excluding those who have received an investment promotion document or are residents of a technology park) carrying out activities for the preparation, development and application of digital technologies, including artificial intelligence technologies and innovation products, will be exempted from customs duties for a period of 10 years starting from July 1, 2026.
