The next meeting of the Working Group, consisting of representatives of the main and other executing bodies of the measures provided for in the “Action Plan for the implementation of the ‘State Program for the Development of Social Services in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2023–2026′”, was held in a videoconference format.
This was reported to “Elchi” by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population.
At the meeting, the head of the working group, Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population Hidayat Abdullayev, stated that, in accordance with the instructions of President Ilham Aliyev, the consistent social reforms implemented in recent years also cover the system of social services for vulnerable groups. It was noted that the “State Program for the Development of Social Services in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2023–2026”, approved by the Decree of the head of state dated August 28, 2023, has also enabled important steps to be taken in the direction of developing the social services system, increasing its quantity and quality, and expanding its coverage.
At the meeting, the work on the implementation of the Program was discussed, including the accessibility of social services for persons with disabilities and other vulnerable groups, increasing the agility and quality of these services, reintegration, the application of the “Foster Family” care model, etc. The importance of mutual cooperation with relevant agencies in these areas was emphasized. Issues arising during the implementation process were discussed.
It should be noted that the Working Group includes representatives from the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, the Ministry of Science and Education, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs, the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation, the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the State Agency for Mandatory Health Insurance (TƏBİB), the Baku City Executive Power, the Mediation Council, and other organizations.
