During a joint operation conducted by the employees of the Water Transport Police Department and the Fisheries and Aquaculture Center of the Ministry of Agriculture, another person engaged in illegal fishing was identified.
Investigations revealed that 57-year-old Baku resident N. Aliyev was engaged in illegal fishing in the Caspian Sea, in the territory of Hovsan settlement of Surakhani district.
During the inspection, 2 fishing rods, a synthetic fishing net, a boat equipped with a “Yamaha-25” engine, as well as 35 kutum fish with a total weight of 31 kilograms were discovered and seized as material evidence.
An investigation into the incident is being conducted by the Water Transport Police Department.
