The World Bank has improved its economic growth forecasts for Azerbaijan for 2026 and 2027.

According to the World Bank’s updated forecast, Azerbaijan’s real GDP will grow by 2 percent in 2026, and by 1.8 percent in 2027 and 2028.

In other words, compared to the January forecast, the Bank has increased its forecast for 2026 by 0.2 percentage points and for 2027 by 0.1 percentage points.

Overall, the World Bank has projected economic growth for the South Caucasus countries at 3.4% for 2026-2027 and 3.2% for 2028. Compared to the previous forecast, the Bank has improved its forecast for 2026 by 0.1 percentage points and for 2027 by 0.3 percentage points.
