A series of regional meetings are being held to discuss the “State Program for the Development of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Aquaculture Production and Processing in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2026–2030,” approved by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated May 25, 2026.
elchi reports that the meetings cover the Central Aran, Mountainous Shirvan, Ganja-Dashkasan, as well as the Karabakh and East Zangezur economic regions. Held under the instruction of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the meetings will be attended by Presidential aides, heads of relevant government agencies, authorized representatives, heads of local executive authorities, farmers, entrepreneurs, and other stakeholders.
Within the framework of the regional meetings, the main goals and priorities of the State Program, new support mechanisms planned in the agricultural sector, efficient use of water and land resources, development of agricultural processing and logistics infrastructure, as well as expanding farmers’ access to modern agricultural services, state support in this direction, and other issues will be discussed.
It should be noted that these meetings are organized systematically to fulfill the instructions given at the meeting dedicated to agricultural issues chaired by President Ilham Aliyev on May 25, 2026, and to ensure the coordinated, agile, and efficient implementation of the measures envisaged in the State Program in the regions.
It is planned to hold regional meetings regarding the implementation of the State Program in other economic regions of the country in stages.
