Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa plans to visit the USA on Sunday, June 14.
elchi reports that “Syria TV” channel informed about this, citing a source in the Syrian government.
According to the information, the visit will take place at the invitation of US President Donald Trump.
It is noted that the visit was planned after a phone conversation between al-Sharaa and Trump. During the phone call, the parties discussed bilateral relations, recent political and regional developments in the field of security, as well as ways to strengthen cooperation to support stability in Syria and boost the country’s economic progress.
Within the framework of the expected visit, it is anticipated that issues such as economic support, the lifting of sanctions, and the strengthening of bilateral cooperation will be discussed, in addition to political and security developments taking place in Syria and the region.
