The State Fire Protection Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations held another “open door day” event

An “open door day” event was held at Fire Protection Unit No. 19 of the Fire Protection Detachment for Oil Refining Enterprises, organized by the State Fire Protection Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and with the participation of the Special Risky Rescue Service.

“Elchi” reports that the purpose of the event, attended by students and teachers of the European Azerbaijan School, was to contribute to the comprehensive development of children, their physical and moral well-being, the formation of a culture of safe life activity, as well as basic fire safety knowledge, and to increase the level of awareness about the professional activities of firefighters and rescuers.

During the “open door day” event, participants were provided with detailed information about the daily routine of firefighters and rescuers and the activities of the unit. They were also shown the rules for using primary fire extinguishing equipment and a part of the staff’s daily training exercises. In this context, operations for the “extinguishing” of a simulated fire and the finding of a “missing person” using a specially trained dog aroused the interest of the participants.

In addition, the event participants became closely acquainted with the necessary fire extinguishing and other emergency rescue equipment and machinery used during emergencies and were informed about safe behavior rules during emergency situations.

During the engaging event, questions of interest to the schoolchildren were answered.
