At least eight workers have died in a fire at a steel plant located in the city of Visakhapatnam, in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh.
“Elchi” reports that “The Times of India” newspaper provided information about this.
It was reported that a ladle containing molten metal fell to the ground in the converter shop, after which a massive fire broke out.
There were about 20 workers at the scene during the incident. Several of them suffered burns on more than 70% of their bodies and were hospitalized.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his condolences to the families of the victims on the “X” social network.
