Pets hold a special place in the lives of many families today and are considered an essential part of daily life. Dogs, cats, and other pets are not just friends to people, but are also accepted as members of the family. However, keeping animals in residential buildings and densely populated areas must be carried out within the framework of certain rules. These rules serve to ensure both the welfare of the animals and the comfort and safety of neighbors.
“Elchi” reports, citing milliaz, that there are legal regulations regarding the keeping of pets in multi-apartment buildings and apartments.
The “Rules for keeping dogs, cats, or other pets in residential settlements of the Republic of Azerbaijan,” approved by the Cabinet of Ministers, state that provided that veterinary, sanitary-hygienic, noise, and other standards are not violated, each family living in separate apartments of multi-story buildings in cities and urban-type settlements is allowed to keep one dog and two cats, on the condition that they do not cause disturbance to neighbors.
It is noted that pets can be kept in “wildlife” corners, social service institutions for children, summer and winter sports and health centers, and sanatorium-resort institutions (rest houses, boarding houses, etc.) based on the official consent of veterinary and state sanitary control authorities.
Furthermore, free walking of dogs can be organized in properly fenced and isolated areas in cities and urban-type settlements.
In organizations, offices, and enterprises, guard dogs must be kept only in designated areas.
Owners of large dog breeds (St. Bernard, Shepherd dog, Great Dane, Boxer, Airedale Terrier, Doberman Pinscher, etc.) and other animals are required to place signs with pictures of dogs or wild animals and the word “Dangerous” on the doors of apartments and organizations.
