USA: Israel and Lebanon have reached a ceasefire agreement

The US State Department announced that Israel and Lebanon have reached an agreement on the implementation of a ceasefire following negotiations.

On the other hand, it was noted that the ceasefire is conditional upon Hezbollah completely halting its attacks and withdrawing all its elements from south of the Litani River.
According to the US State Department’s statement, representatives of both countries will meet again in the week of June 22 for a more comprehensive agreement.
As a result of the third round of US-mediated negotiations between Lebanon and Israel held on May 14-15, the ceasefire was extended by 45 days.
