“Elchi” reports that this was stated by Mikhail Galuzin, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia for CIS affairs.
“After the meeting held in Zangilan in April, a list of measures was prepared to increase trade turnover and develop institutional cooperation in industry. Opportunities have been identified for Russian business to participate in reconstruction projects in the Karabakh and East Zangezur regions. Russia is interested in bringing Azerbaijan closer to the Eurasian Economic Union,” he said.
Galuzin noted that Russia supports efforts aimed at the full and comprehensive normalization of Azerbaijan-Armenia relations.
“As before, we are ready to help Baku and Yerevan in opening transport and economic communications, solving humanitarian issues, and providing a platform for the signing of a peace treaty,” the Russian official added.
