Today, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom to our country, Duncan Norman.

It was stated that during the meeting, Ambassador Norman presented a copy of his credentials to Minister Jeyhun Bayramov. The Minister congratulated the ambassador on his new appointment and wished him success in his diplomatic activities in Azerbaijan.
During the meeting, an exchange of views took place regarding the current state and prospects of Azerbaijan-United Kingdom relations, as well as regional and international issues of mutual interest.
The parties noted with satisfaction the successful development of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the United Kingdom in political, economic, energy, trade, investment, education, and other fields.
In addition, the importance of elevating relations to the level of strategic partnership and further expanding high-level mutual contacts and economic partnership was emphasized.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov informed the other party in detail about the current situation in the region, the realities of the post-conflict period, as well as the Azerbaijan-Armenia normalization process and the steps taken by our country.
Ambassador Duncan Norman expressed his pleasure at starting his mission in Azerbaijan and stated that he would spare no effort in further developing cooperation between our countries.
Other issues of mutual interest were also reviewed during the meeting.
