A three-day webinar on labor protection was held, jointly organized by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population and the International Labour Organization (ILO).
This was reported to “Elchi” by the State Labor Inspectorate Service.
It was stated that the purpose of the webinar, dedicated to the topic “Consultations on occupational safety and health: learning based on real experience and practical knowledge,” was to increase knowledge and skills in the field of labor protection, study international experience, and discuss preventive approaches to ensuring safe and healthy working conditions in workplaces.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, the International Labour Organization, the State Labor Inspectorate Service under the Ministry, other relevant government agencies, and social partners.
At the opening of the webinar, Ilgar Mammadov, Deputy Head of the State Labor Inspectorate Service under the Ministry, Yashar Hamzayev, National Coordinator of the ILO for Azerbaijan, and Darko Docinski, ILO Specialist on Labor Inspection, Occupational Safety and Health, delivered speeches.
During the three-day webinar, presentations were heard on preventive approaches in labor protection, organization of preventive measures in workplaces, management systems for occupational safety and health at the enterprise level, risk assessment, new approaches to occupational diseases, monitoring of workers’ health, and the activities of service providers in labor protection.
Within the framework of the event, participants’ questions were answered, and an exchange of views on international and local experience regarding the topics was held.
