When the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway was being designed, passenger transportation was planned, and the line was constructed accordingly.
“Elchi” reports, citing APA, that this was stated by Rovshan Rustamov, Chairman of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC, in a statement to journalists.
He noted that there are currently no plans for passenger transportation via the BTK line between Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Turkey.
