Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan discussed regional issues

Today, a telephone conversation took place between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Saidov.

According to the information provided to “Elchi” by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the ministers discussed the current state and development prospects of the strategic partnership relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan.

It was emphasized that the high-level political dialogue established between the heads of state makes a significant contribution to the dynamic development of bilateral cooperation in all areas.

The ministers exchanged views on opportunities for further expanding cooperation in political, economic, trade, transport-communication, energy, investment, humanitarian, and other fields.

The parties also expressed their satisfaction with the mutual support and effective cooperation within the framework of international and regional organizations, including the UN, the Organization of Turkic States, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and other multilateral platforms, and emphasized the importance of continuing coordination in this direction.

During the telephone conversation, an exchange of views also took place on other regional and international issues of mutual interest.
