A number of documents signed between Azerbaijan and Belarus in Minsk

Within the framework of the 16th meeting of the Azerbaijan-Belarus Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation in Minsk, a number of documents covering various areas of cooperation between the two countries were signed.

According to “Elchi”, first, Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Samir Sharifov and Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Natalya Petkevich signed the protocol of the 16th meeting of the Azerbaijan-Belarus Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation.

Subsequently, a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the field of statistics was signed between the National Statistical Committee of Belarus and the State Statistical Committee of Azerbaijan. The document was signed by Inna Medvedeva, Chairperson of the National Statistical Committee of Belarus, and Azer Mursaqulov, Chairman of the State Statistical Committee of Azerbaijan.

Within the framework of the event, a cooperation program in the field of physical culture and sports for 2026–2030 was also signed between the Ministry of Sports of Belarus and the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Azerbaijan. The document was approved by the Minister of Sports of Belarus Sergey Kovalchuk and the Minister of Youth and Sports of Azerbaijan Farid Gayibov.

In order to expand cooperation in the field of healthcare, a cooperation program – “Roadmap” for 2026–2027 was also signed between the ministries of health of Azerbaijan and Belarus. The document was signed by Deputy Minister of Health of Belarus Alexander Starovoytov and Deputy Minister of Health of Azerbaijan Nadir Zeynalov.

In addition, a contract was signed between the Ganja Automobile Plant Production Association and the Belarusian “POJSNAB” LLC for the assembly of 21 fire-fighting vehicles. The contract was signed by Sergey Zakharevich, acting director of “POJSNAB” LLC, and Khanlar Fatiyev, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Ganja Automobile Plant Production Association.

It should be noted that the documents were signed within the framework of the 16th meeting of the Azerbaijan-Belarus Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation and serve to further expand cooperation between the two countries in economic, social, and humanitarian spheres.
