The People’s Republic of China (PRC) and the US have exchanged views on security issues in the air and maritime space.
elchi reports, citing “Reuters”, that this is stated in a statement by the PRC Navy.
The negotiations held between the parties were described in the statement as “candid and constructive”.
It is noted that the meeting was held from May 28 to 29 in the Hawaiian Islands within the framework of the naval consultation mechanism. The parties discussed measures to reduce the risk of incidents and strengthen communication channels in order to avoid miscalculations and increase the level of mutual interaction.
