The President of Montenegro, Jakov Milatović, has sent a congratulatory letter to President Ilham Aliyev.
“Elchi” reports that the letter states:
“Dear Mr. President,
On the occasion of May 28 – Independence Day of the Republic of Azerbaijan, I extend my sincere congratulations and best wishes to you. I wish your country and the friendly people of Azerbaijan continued progress, prosperity, and well-being.
I am particularly pleased to emphasize the development of traditional friendly relations between Montenegro and the Republic of Azerbaijan, built on the basis of mutual respect, trust, and understanding. Our countries have established and developed very good cooperation in a number of areas of common interest. I am confident that through our joint efforts, we will continue to further develop and deepen these ties for the mutual benefit of our peoples. I also believe that the partnership and friendly relations between Montenegro and the Republic of Azerbaijan will be further strengthened as an example of constructive cooperation and sincere bilateral relations.
I look forward to paying an official visit to your country at the end of this year. During this visit, we will be able to exchange views on future directions for the development of our interstate relations through direct communication.
