In some parts of the country, there was intermittent lightning, rain, and in some places, the precipitation was intense.
This was reported to “Elchi” by the National Hydrometeorological Service.
It was stated that the amount of precipitation recorded was up to 47 mm in Qakh, 16 mm in Khaltan (Guba), 12 mm in Gadabay, 9 mm in Nakhchivan, 8 mm in Dashkasan, 5 mm in Gusar, 4 mm in Shahbuz and Kishchay (Sheki), 3 mm in Altiagach, 2 mm in Ganja, Tovuz, and Naftalan, and up to 1 mm in Goranboy, Aghstafa, Shamkir, Zagatala, Balakan, Khachmaz, Shabran, Ordubad, and Shahdag.
On May 23, between 18:45 and 18:50, small-grained hail fell in the Aghstafa district, at around 21:02 in Dashbulag village of Shamkir district, and at 21:27 in Qoshabulag, Parizamanli, and Samanliq villages of Gadabay district.
The maximum air temperature was recorded at 26 degrees in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, 29 degrees in the Nakhchivan AR, 28 degrees in the Aran districts, and up to 17 degrees in the mountainous districts.
