Azerbaijan is Romania’s main economic partner in the South Caucasus region.
“Elchi” reports that this was stated by Vlad Ionescu, State Counselor at the Presidential Administration of Romania, at an event dedicated to Azerbaijan’s Independence Day in Bucharest.
V. Ionescu spoke about cooperation within the framework of the Southern Gas Corridor, the transport of “green energy” under the Black Sea, and the Caspian Sea-Black Sea international transport route projects, emphasizing the importance of these projects for Romania’s energy security, as well as for all of Europe.
He stated that Romania supports cooperation between the European Union and Azerbaijan in terms of stability in the region, as well as the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
