President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met with President of the Republic of Mauritius Daramber Gokhool on May 19.
“Elchi” reports that expressing his gratitude to the President of Mauritius for participating in the WUF13 event, the head of state said that his visit also created a good opportunity to hold discussions regarding the development of bilateral relations.
President Ilham Aliyev expressed his satisfaction with the level of our political relations.
The President of Mauritius thanked the head of state for the invitation to this event. Daramber Gokhool also touched upon the role of his visit in terms of discussing various aspects of our bilateral relations.
Stating that he visited the “ASAN service” center during his visit to Baku, the President of Mauritius said that the conditions there left a deep impression on him and emphasized that he is interested in applying such experience in his country as well.
Noting that Azerbaijan cooperates with various countries regarding the creation of the ASAN model, President Ilham Aliyev said that in this regard, our country is ready to support Mauritius and share its experience.
The guest emphasized the importance of holding a global event like WUF13 in Azerbaijan.
Daramber Gokhool expressed his gratitude to the President of Azerbaijan for the educational scholarships provided to students from Mauritius and requested that the possibilities of further increasing them in the future be considered.
At the meeting, the cooperation of our countries in international organizations was touched upon, and the role of mutual visits and contacts at various levels in terms of expanding the partnership was emphasized. An exchange of views took place on cooperation in the fields of economy, investments, energy, including renewable energy, tourism, and other areas.
