Strengthening ties between the EU, the South Caucasus, and Central Asia is in our common strategic interest, and we are ready to discuss a more structured partnership with Azerbaijan.
“Elchi” reports that this was stated by Kaja Kallas, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission.
“Progress in the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia is a historic opportunity, and it is important to maintain this momentum. The EU has a range of tools to support this, from confidence-building measures to mine clearance activities, areas in which we are already the largest donor,” emphasized Kallas, who is on a visit to Azerbaijan.
