A “green corridor” principle will be applied in terms of transport organization during WUF13.
“Elchi” reports that this was stated by Namidan Piriyev, Head of the Intelligent Transport Management Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, at a briefing on the presentation of the transport management plan for the WUF13 dates.
He stated that uninterrupted movement will be ensured along specially designated routes, priority passage will be given at road intersections when necessary, and the timely and safe arrival of participants at their destinations will be guaranteed: “For this purpose, appropriate measures will be taken, and both traffic organization and security measures will be implemented in parallel. At the same time, considering the intensity of traffic on the opening day of the event, May 18, temporary changes may be made in some directions. These changes are mainly aimed at ensuring the movement of high-level guests and official delegations. However, in general, a full closure of roads is not planned; only partial diversions may be applied when necessary.”
